Shoe Box Program Student Council

Student Council is teaming up with PTO in honor of Earth Day. Yesterday, student council had a meeting with PTO where we learned more about the World Wear Project, which distributes wearable, affordable shoes to third world countries while reducing the number of shoes going into landfills. By reducing the number of shoes going into landfills we are helping to lessen the impact on the environment. Our plan is to help with the project by participating in a shoe box program.

We will be collecting used, wearable shoes beginning on April 10th and go through April 21st. We will be collecting wearable shoes. Basketball, jogging, running, tennis, court, aerobic, and training shoes are great for this program. These shoes will be collected in boxes on the front steps.
